1.Important Information Before You Begin

Saral Will is a technology-enabled Will drafting service provided by NEXGEN ESTATE PLANNING SOLUTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED.

The information, questions, guidance, and documents available through Saral Will are designed to help you understand and prepare your Will in a simple and structured manner.

2.No Lawyer-Client Relationship

The information provided through this platform is for general informational purposes and should not be considered a substitute for personalised legal advice.

Using Saral Will or creating a Will through the platform does not, by itself, create a lawyer-client relationship between you and NEXGEN ESTATE PLANNING SOLUTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED or any individual legal professional.

One exception

If you buy a plan that includes a one-to-one consultation, that consultation may be provided under a separate engagement with its own terms. See the Terms of Service.

3.Professionally Reviewed for Accuracy and Consistency

Every Will prepared through Saral Will is reviewed by a member of the NEXGEN Estate Planning Solutionslegal team before it is provided to you. The review is intended to ensure that the document is properly structured, internally consistent, and accurately reflects the information and instructions provided by you.

This review focuses on the drafting, structure, and consistency of the Will. It does not constitute an opinion on whether your estate plan is suitable for your individual circumstances, whether a Will is the appropriate legal instrument for you, tax implications, or the likelihood of a particular provision being challenged.

4.A Will Only Works If You Sign It Properly

Indian law does not recognise an electronically signed Will. Your document must be printed, signed by you, and attested by two witnesses who each sign in your presence.

The signing happens away from us. We cannot warrant that your Will was validly executed, and an unsigned or incorrectly witnessed Will may be ineffective.

5.When You Should Seek Personalised Legal Advice

For complex or specific legal circumstances, we recommend obtaining personalised legal advice, especially if:

  • you hold assets in more than one country;
  • your estate includes a business, partnership interest or HUF share;
  • you expect a family member to challenge your Will;
  • you want to disinherit a dependant or provide for someone outside your immediate family;
  • you are creating a trust or planning around tax; or
  • anyone has questioned your capacity, or you are under pressure about how to leave your estate.
